Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee Operator for our Soya Preparatory Line. The selected candidate will support operations by managing equipment, maintaining high production standards, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is an excellent opportunity to build a technical foundation in food processing and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor soya preparatory line machinery such as cleaners, dehullers, and extruders to ensure efficient processing.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks and adjust parameters to ensure product compliance with company standards.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Carry out routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate with the maintenance team when necessary.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and GMP standards; promptly report hazards and participate in ongoing safety training.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within the process and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of production data, maintenance, quality checks, and housekeeping duties.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, complying with hygiene and safety standards.
Qualifications
- A B.Sc. or equivalent in a relevant field is required. Additional technical training or certification in food processing or mechanical engineering is a plus.
- 0 – 3 years of experience in refining or food processing, preferably in soya oil operations.
- Working knowledge of soya oil processing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and automated controls is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of GMP, safety practices, and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
